Best biscuits and gravy ever. I wish I would have known about the breakfast on October 8th and the Friday dinner I would have come to both. I would have loved to try the verenika and cherry moos. I wish I had a restaurant like this in Fresno, CA

We accidently found Main Street Cafe on our way home from a funeral several weeks ago; it's hidden from view from the highway. The sausage is baked, not greasy, well-seasoned, finely-ground: delicious! The menu is simple, not complicated. The salad bar needed a variety of more leafy greens, but the pies!! There were at least 15 kinds offered, and we took home the apricot, really intense flavor, with a light flaky crust. We plan to take guests there next week.

I stop in regularly when I travel to my brothers house near Milford Lake. Friday night buffet with the sausage, catfish, and brisket among other dishes can't be beat. I buy rope sausage to grill which is excellent every time. We usually call ahead and order a sour cream raisin or coconut cream pie to go, (both could win a blue ribbon at the county fair in any state of the union) its just great down home cooking!

Best home-style cooking

This is the best home-style cooking I have ever had. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. The sausage is amazing. Make sure to ask for the locally made Granny's Mustard. The pie served here is all homemade and beyond belief. The menu is simple but believe me, it is worth traveling across the country to eat here. Can you believe fresh lemonade for $0.75 - I almost fell out of my chair. My favorite pie is a tie between the Sour Cream Raisin and Coconut Cream. Also, when my cousin informed the waitress that she didn't want the salad bar included with the daily special, they offered to take it off the price. My cousin had the Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy. About 12 hours later she was in the emergency room with severe pain and a gall bladder that has to come out. Believe it or not, she is looking forward to having her gall bladder removed so she can return for more of this food! (Source: Yelp.com)
